We are delighted to have started designs for a garden room refurbishment for this stunning large family home on the Bedford/Cambridgeshire border.
Building is underway to re-model, extend and refurbish the entire property. Our client has employed us to design a tricky entrance space that also incorporates a living area and study. We want to create an informal entrance for the family to use on a daily basis but also somewhere to relax and enjoy the garden views. The study area (the less formal of two studies at the property) is small and care is being taken not to overcomplicate the space. Our recommendations here will be to construct a bank of oak floating shelves to create a fluid and simple area that will not only look good but will provide the homeowner with somewhere additional to sit and work. The overall scheme will be conducive to ‘relaxed’ living. The palette selected is a combination of warm taupes, wood, leather and fun geometric pattern. There will be storage benches for shoes either side of the doorway and there will be a large statement clock positioned on the long passage way wall.
